Abstract
The following article describes how children with hearing deficiencies are educated in Ukraine. Modern international trends in education of children with hearing deficiencies have been analysed. They serve as guidance for improving Ukrainian system of education for children with complete and partial hearing loss. Medico-technical and socio-pedagogical factors which provide effective absorption of educational materials have been defined. Amongst them were factors such as: identification of hearing disorders during the first days after child’s birth, provision of quality hearing AID’s within first months of life, provision of professional help at early stages, justified choice of the “learning path”, diversity of the forms and methods of education, complex pattern of support, which is provided by the team of experts. Scientific principles of development of maintenance of child education with hearing deficiencies have been named: compliance with the contents of education in a comprehensive school, adaptation of the requirements to the possibilities of content absorption, its understanding and demonstration of knowledge by children of the mentioned category, unity of conceptual provisions and structurally meaningful bases of upkeep of all the links of education, as well as maintenance of education for children with complete and partial hearing loss, flexibility of requirements of educational programs, personal selection of communication means, education with a trend to develop and improve. Aims for further reform of education of children with hearing deficiencies in Ukraine have been shown.
