Abstract
The article substantiates theoretically realization of andragogical approach in organizing in-service training for teachers of natural subjects. It also reviews the practice of organizing in-service courses in the higher educational institution ‘Academy of In-Service Education’. Modern forms of conducting in-service courses for teachers of natural subjects are considered. The advantages of full-time and distance learning courses are grounded. The author describes different ways of organizing the educational process on in-service courses for teachers of natural subjects on the basis of andragogical approach to meet the specific needs of the students. Conditions for ensuring in-service training of teachers, such as providing optional approaches to the content of adult education, teaching technologies are also considered. The research is conducted on the characteristics of educational technologies and methods of training which are used within in-service courses. Attention is drawn to the need to limit the use of reproductive technologies and proceed to productive learning. The advantages of using the interactive model of training are substantiated in order to improve the educational process, make learning and communication comfortable and raise the level of professional and general culture of teachers.
