Abstract
It is characterized the state of professional training of secondary schools teachers in in the Federal Republic of Germany at the beginning of the XXI century. The main legislative and regulatory guidance documents of federal and regional significance that are the basis for functioning of system of continuous pedagogical education are represented. The problems of future teachers’ training in universities are highlighted. The basic guidelines of professional teacher education reform in Germany at the beginning of the XXI century are revealed. As a result of reforms school teachers’ training became practically and professionally oriented, profile, and aimed at the development of competencies. It is realized under the following blocks: special-subject, subject-didactic, «Science about Education», practice. The particular importance of the block «Science about Education», which reflects the content of psycho-pedagogical training of future school teachers in Germany is underlined. Within it the each topic is discussed in terms of pedagogy, psychology, sociology and other related humanities. The key principles of structuring of psychological and pedagogical teachers’ training content in Germany are: modularity, interdisciplinary, reflectivity. The importance of usage of cooperative, problem, situational, research studies and reflection methods for the development of professional competencies is underlined. The study is highlighted the characteristics of the German system of professional teacher education.
