Abstract

The article reveals the problems of the process of development and implementation of a new, already valid curriculum on labor education for 5-9 classes, which is fully implemented in the general educational institutions of Ukraine in the 2017-2018 academic year. On the basis of scientific analysis, the causes and consequences of neglect of the current program, its threats for the development of the educational branch "Technologies" are determined. The reflection of the content of labor training in the current curriculum, its structure and competence potential, shortcomings that were evident even during its development and have already appeared in the process of its introduction into pedagogical practice are scientifically balanced and consistently analyzed. Reviews of scientists, pedagogues-practitioners, methodological associations of labor training teachers, parents, and the public, which are published at conferences, in scientific articles, mass media, as well as in social networks are analyzed. The critical comprehension of the current curriculum for labor training for 5-9 classes is based on historical examples of the use of the objective system of Otto Salomon and the unsuccessful attempts to implement the object phenomenal paradigm of a complex teaching method in the 20 years of the last century and nowadays. Relying on the scientific, theoretical and methodological positions, the complex problems of reforming the content of technological education are considered, as well as the problem of the lack of general didactic and substantive didactic principles of content in the current program, the destructive nature of the implementation of unverified decisions, violations of the procedure of introducing new content into pedagogical practice, and ways of solving certain problems are proposed.
