Abstract
The article is devoted to the actual problem of implementation in the educational process of 10 universal cross-cutting key competencies that need to be formulated among the applicants for education in all lessons on all subjects in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Education" and the Concept "New Ukrainian School". As an example of the interrelated development of Ukrainian-language and social competences of senior pupils, the author reveals inexhaustible resources of the Ukrainian language and the possibilities of linguodidactics for the successful socialization of future graduates.
