Abstract
The article analyzes the methodological aspects of monitoring and evaluation of group project activities of students. The receipt in the educational establishment of theoretical knowledge today is considered a necessary condition, but not sufficient to meet the demands of the labor market. The emphasis has shifted significantly towards the formation of the ability to apply knowledge in practice with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. One of the training technologies provides a certain balance between academic knowledge and pragmatic skills and is the method of projects. Analysis of the specialized literature and experience of technical schools and colleges demonstrates the insufficient intensity of the use of creative projects in the practice of educational institutions. The reason for the unrealized design technology is that its implementation is not prepared either in organizational, technical, or, most importantly, personal, psychological terms. Therefore, a clear understanding of the content, criteria for the technology of the project activity, knowledge of its methodology, allows both individual teachers and heads of educational institutions to objectively evaluate and predict its implementation. The research establishes the basic principles of monitoring students' knowledge during the design and technological activities, the functions that realize the process of assessing the project activity of students in any educational activity in general and project in particular are considered. Project activity is a special kind of activity that requires self-control and self-analysis which are manifested in the student's independent work. The final stage of the project is its protection. During the protection project participants report on the results of the project. It is very important that the control of knowledge, skills and skills is not episodic, but systematic and regular. Evaluation should not consist only of the teacher's assessment, but take into account the self-assessment and the mutual evaluation of project participants, external peer review. It is necessary to remember the encouraging role of evaluation in project activities.
