Abstract

The manual is devoted to the problem of studying the types of gifted senior pupils. It presents the author's version of the typology of giftedness that covers the following types of giftedness: academic, intellectual, creative, aesthetic, practical and technical, social and communicative, leadership, sensory-motor. The results of experimental studies of each of the above types are also presented. The types of intellectual giftedness of children the participants of the competition for defense of scientific research and creative works of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine are considered. Their cognitive-behavioral and personality characteristics are described. The manual contains a list and detailed description of psychodiagnostic techniques (including author's modifications) that are recommended for the study of the quality and level of academic, intellectual and creative giftedness. The manual is intended for practical and academic psychologists, students, post-graduate students and professors of psychology departments.
