Abstract
In this article, the author carries out an analysis of the examination of educational activities in general secondary education institutions to identify the shortcomings in educational process. In the conditions of reforming Ukrainian society with radical changes in political and socio-economic relations, a need to improve secondary education became acute and actual. Author makes the readers familiar with the expert methods that make the basis for improving the quality of educational institution management and professional activities of teaching staff and for indicating their significance. The author reveals that the objects of examination can be: 1) assessment of the quality of education of students (knowledge, skills and abilities); 2) technology of educational process; 3) evaluation of professional activity of the teacher (personal, professional qualities); 4) assessment of activity of the institution of general secondary education (activity of each structural unit, status of documentation, conduct and effectiveness of meetings, condition of material and technical base, conducting a graduation campaign, etc.); 5) assessment of quality of activities of the head of the institution of general secondary education (personal, professional business qualities); 6) examination of the educational textbook; 7) didactic research; 8) assessment of the person receiving education; 9) assessment of the teacher, tutor and other staff; 10) construction of professional education for those who receive education, etc.
