Abstract
The main requirements for the selection of the educational material of the manual were: cultural awareness, emotionality, reflection of the cultural values of the Ukrainian and Roma people of Ukraine. This manual is designed to develop a creative personality, capable of tolerant intercultural communication. At creation of the manual the State standards of elementary school, the program on the Roma language for secondary schools with the Ukrainian language of instruction were taken into account. When planning lessons, the teacher can use the materials of the manual, involving students to discuss them. The teacher, focusing on the individual peculiarities of the pupils, can determine how complete and in what sequence he / she will use the material in the class.
