Abstract
The article emphasizes the need to develop educational and methodological support for the primary link of educational institutions for children with special educational needs of various nosologies as one of the conditions for modernizing the modern special school education in Ukraine. It is emphasized that pupiles with mental retardation due to the damage to the cerebral cortex have a persistent and irreversible impairment of cognitive activity, there is a significant inadequacy of the motivational, regulatory deficiency, unformed operational components of speech activity, gross violations of the overall dynamic organization of speech, which requires a constant systematic psycho- and logocorrectional support. The article is devoted to the scientific-theoretical and educational-methodical analysis of the corrector-developing orientation of the primery book for working with first-graders of the specified category in text and extra-textual components. It was ascertained that the primery book fully satisfies the educational needs of pupils, takes into account their age, psychophysical, social and cultural characteristics; Training material is characterized by practicality, internal consistency, unity of text, methodological integrity, interactivity, flexibility submitted assignments. It is noted that the semantic defect is the leading factor in the structure of systemic speech underdevelopment in the case of mental retardation, which is expressed in the difficulties of mastering the lexical, derivational and grammatical knowledge, so the letter provides step-by-step work not only in forming the skills of correct, expressive, fast, accurate, conscious reading, but also enrich the vocabulary, practicing different grammatical categories, basic skills of word formation and inflection, to develop of coherent speech.
