Abstract
The article deals with the problems of continuous vocational education and modern possibilities of its technological support; It is shown that in the modern sense, the term "continuous vocational education" covers all types of formal and informal education, including self-education (in all its forms) as a leading factor affecting the quality of professional human activities; it is shown that in the new information society, to which Ukraine, as the whole world passes, the strategic socio-economic task of continuing vocational education consists not only in the adaptation of specialists to the conditions of the labor market, improvement of their qualifications, provision of obtaining a new specialty, but also in the formation a qualitatively new professional culture of people, the main component of which is the information culture and the general cultural development of people.
