Abstract
The textbook is designed for 1 year of study and is a basic preparation for the development of reading and writing skills. All material of the textbook is designed taking into account the purpose, age characteristics and interests of students and placed in accordance with the stages of training. The textbook is aimed at developing the skills of speech and listening to students. The content of the textbook and illustration is free of bias and stereotypes leading to gender, ethnic, cultural or racial prejudices. All colors are presented purely for the allocation and attention of students to certain grammatical rules. Persons of both sexes are represented in parity. The textbook consists of 4 sections: the bulk, Jewish holidays, grammar and vocabulary. The main part is 9 topics of situational communication (acquaintance; count to 10; school; family; toys; animals; what do we do? Days of the week; shabat). The section of Jewish holidays covers 6 holidays with which students will get acquainted directly during the year (Rosh Shah, Sukkot, Chanukah, Tu Bie Shvat, Purim, Pesach), that is, for 3 holidays per semester. The grammar section for teachers and parents contains general provisions about Hebrew gender and number, and reading rules. The dictionary contains a lexical stock from the textbook, divided by topics.
