Abstract

The article analyzes the experience of using the playback theatre as a means of trauma-sensitive psychosocial support for internally displaced persons (IDP). It is shown that the specificity of the socio-psychological space and creative activity, inherent in the playback theatre, makes it possible to quickly and efficiently restore the personal potential of the tellers through the creation of personal and common narratives, which works on the restoration of life continuity, as well as the following psychotherapeutic effects: 1) finding new connections between the components of traumatic history; 2) a sense of deep support, a division of the emotional state; 3) actually cathartic effect; 4) the effect of detachment, "non-participation". Practical recommendations are provided on the main points that should be monitored by the playback theatre specialists during performances for the IDP.
