Abstract

The article enlightens and proves modern tendencies of reading activity development of primary school pupils in such directions: change of modern models (practices) of reading, reading interests of children under the influence of information and communication technologies. The essence of concepts is revealed: texts of new nature, media text, reading from screen. Positive and negative aspects of influence of screen technologies on the quality of reading and understanding texts are outlined.
