Abstract
In the article covers the issues of the formation and development of reading skills for students of 1-2 classes in conditions of immaturity of such important cognitive processes as different properties of attention, semantic and visual perception, hearing memory, and others. The results of modern researches on the mentioned problem are analyzed, the genetic and social factors, which predetermine difficulty in teaching children of reading, are isolated. The typical and individual errors and difficulties of pupils during reading, related to phonemic, lexico-grammatical underdevelopment of speech, as well as those related to the development of communicational broadcasting are described.
