Abstract

The paper reviews current trends in psychotherapy, how psychodynamic methods, katathym-imaginative psychotherapy are in accordance with these trends and conditions. The article analyses modern conditions of this method, special features of its distribution in the post-Soviet space. This study gets proofs of necessity of taking into account socio-cultural context for the use and development prospects katathym-imaginative psychotherapy in the domestic space.
