Abstract

The definition o f professional education has been suggested, its role in the development of the society has been defined. The present state o f Ukrainian professional education has been analyzed. Urgent issues on methodological, organizational and pedagogical, methodical, individual levels have been formulated. The important state documents on education have been described. Some aspects o f modernization o f national system o f professional education have been stressed. The conclusion about the possibility to improve cultural and entrepreneurial self-realization of Ukrainian youth and other groups o f adult population has been made.
