Abstract
The article points out that out-of-school educational institutions have a great potential in creating favorable conditions for the labor education of junior schoolchildren, given that the specificity of their activities ensures the integration of elements of labor education into the content of all areas of out-of-school education. The specifics of ensuring the labor education of junior schoolchildren in institutions of extracurricular education requires a transition to a competence model of education and upbringing, involves shifting the emphasis in educational activities from narrowly-subjective to general didactic, updating the structure and content of each branch of extracurricular education, adjusting the content of certain topics of subject areas with emphasis on personal-developing, game teaching methods, the definition and evaluation of learning outcomes through key and subject-matters the competence of students, the introduction of innovative, gaming learning technologies, interactive group teaching methods and the like. The article notes that competence does not mean only an accessible age-related awareness of the child in a wide range of life problems, but a whole complex of characteristics. Motivation for the formation of competence is the desire for self-affirmation and broad social motives. The quality of educational achievements must be transformed into the competency system of the subject. Only the pupil's own achievements have sufficient potential for such competence. In our opinion, the leading task of extracurricular education should also be the provision of methodological and organizational conditions for the corresponding independent activity of junior schoolchildren, in the process of which they approximately reproduce and roughly model the elements of professional activity of adults. But, to ensure the effectiveness of the formation of students' value attitude to work, should be implemented in the order of educational impact, that is, in a certain way, plan educational activities.
