Abstract
The study reveals the essence of the concepts of “differentiation”, “differentiation of the content of education”. On the basis of scientific and pedagogical works devoted to the problem of differentiation of the content of education in senior school. The purpose and main tasks of educational content of education differentiation for senior pupils is disclosed. The specifics of the process of differentiating the content of education in senior school are determined. The importance of differentiation of the content of education in senior school within modern senior school education is revealed. The list of normative documents regulating the reforms of education in Ukraine is presented. The differentiation of the content of education at the macro, meso and micro levels is characterized. Such forms of organization of differentiation of the content of education in senior school are distinguished and characterized as: internal differentiation, external differentiation, semi-open differentiation, hidden differentiation. A list of elective courses aimed at deepening and expanding knowledge on subjects is given. Distinctions between elective and selective courses are analyzed. The description of types of differentiation of the content of education by the objectives of training, content, methods and technologies, tempo (time) of training, individual psychological characteristics (level of health, personally-psychological types, level of cognitive development, interests, age) and level of the organization of senior pupils are given. Types of differentiation of the content of education are determined. Typical structure of the lesson in senior grades of secondary school is presented.
