Abstract
Dissertation for the scientific degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences іn Theory and Methods of Education. – Institute of Problems onspeciality 13.00.07 Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. – Kyiv, 2018. In the dissertation research, the new approach to solving the urgent issue of education in the students of main and high school of careful attitude toward nature in the process of study of Ukrainian literature has been offered. The author has carried out the theoretical analysis of concept-terminological meaning of the research and has updated semantic descriptions for base definitions such as: “environmental consciousness”, “environmental culture”, “environmental education”, “attitude toward nature”, “Ukrainian literature”, “fiction”. The essences of research leading concept such as “careful attitude toward nature” have been specified. The concept “careful attitude toward nature” is determined as a special interaction of a student with nature based on conscious emotional-value attitude toward its objects linked with the readiness to support their functioning, to revive and to protect them. Such attitude is, in its essence, non-pragmatic, and the result of the positive “I-conception” development of personality. The components of careful attitude toward nature have been determined: cognitive, emotional and value, behavioral and practical. Criteria and indicators have been described: cognitive (understanding of the essence of careful attitude toward nature; cognitive interest 22 toward nature and reading fiction about it), emotional and value (emotional-value attitude toward objects of nature; motivational-value readiness to care for object of nature), active and practical (the student’s readiness to support, protect, and revive the functioning of objects of nature; the ability of revealing, evaluating and preventing dangerous for nature situations). The levels (low, middle, sufficient) of main and high school students’ careful attitude toward nature have been described. In the paper, the specifics of using the potential of Ukrainian literature in order to form the student’s perception of nature as the most precious value of humanity and corresponding attitude toward it is revealed. Methods of education of careful attitude toward nature during the process of Ukrainian literature’s study in the students of main and high school have been developed, and experimentally tested. Moreover, educational conditions for their effective use in the educational process of general educational institution have been suggested. Methodological guidelines as to forming in students of main and high school the careful attitude toward nature during Ukrainian literature’s study have been substantiated. Methodology of education of careful attitude toward nature in the process of study of Ukrainian literature in main and high school students based on deep study and analysis of fiction of environmental content has been created and experimentally approved. The educational process has been realized in a few stages (formation of cognitive interest toward nature; education of value-emotional attitude toward objects of nature; formation of the readiness to support functioning of objects of nature and to revive and protect them). The educational terms of education are set out for the students of main and high school regarding careful attitude toward nature in the process of study of Ukrainian literature: satiation of the process of studying Ukrainian literature at main and high school by emotionally-positive experiencing the nature and by means of deep analysis of fiction; educational analysis of expedient examples related to careful attitude toward nature and the best standards of Ukrainian folklore used in the process of study of biography of writers and during the analysis of artistic works; development of main and high school students’ inclination to charity in the process of co-operating with nature through improvement of their creative capabilities by facilities of fiction; organization with the students of main and high school of extracurricular work related to Ukrainian literature of environmental line. The results of the forming stage of the experiment have confirmed that in the experimental group positive changes took place in the level of careful attitude toward nature regarding certain components. The author has compiled the manual-reading-book for itself”“Love nature not for yourself, – love for itself”.
