Abstract
The proposed article is a continuation of the author's inquiries into the problem of implementing the principles and guidelines of the Concept of the New Ukrainian School in the context of subjectivity. The concept of "childhood" is analyzed through answers to the basic questions of theorists and practitioners of education: that is researched in the scientific and pedagogical dimension on the problem of childhood; what modern pedagogues know about childhood; how not to be afraid to involve the concept of childhood in the programs of professional development of teachers? These questions led to the elucidation of the basic conceptually grounded characteristics of the childhood, on the basis of which the directions of modernization of the contents of the professional development of teaching staff were proposed. Considering the heuristic potential of the concepts of childhood for the professional development of teachers, the author's idea and hypothesis concerning the inclusion in the content and technology of professional development of teachers of the integrated approach to the study of the system "childhood and / or culture (s)" and the involvement of teachers in the project activity from the specified system is disclosed. The author's videos (E-board, video presentations, electronic journal, mental map) and practical tasks of the special course "Pedagogy of childhood" are presented.
