Abstract
The author stresses that in order to realize the full and successful socialization of the child it is necessary that the construction of the content of social development was determined, on the one hand, by the totality of social influences of the world level of culture, its universal values, and on the other - the attitude to this very child, the actualization of his own "I ", the disclosure of the creative potential of the individual. The main criterion for social development in this case is not only the degree of assimilation of social rules of behavior, adaptation to the world only at the level of adaptation, but also the completeness of autonomy, initiative, creativity of the individual.
