Abstract

The report of Academician S.U.Goncharenko at the General Meeting of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine summarized the activity of the Department of Didactics, Methodology and Information Technologies in Education for 1992-1997. The main activity of the department was the organization and implementation of large-scale theoretical and experimental studies of topical didactic problems of the modern school. Priorities are devoted to the creation of a comprehensive system of content of general secondary education and scientific and methodological provision of the educational process in a secondary school.
