Abstract
Specified in this paper is the concept “right to labor” and performed is the content-analysis of normative legal documents that regulate employment of persons under 18 and persons with disabilities. Generalized in this paper is experience of work in special schools concerning vocational orientation and professional-labor teaching the mental deficient children during the 20th century; the ways for development and implementation of acquired experience in present day conditions are singled out. Ascertained and grounded are the tasks for these special schools dealing with mental deficient children to assist ensuring the right of schoolleavers to labor. The main tasks are formulated as follows: vocational guidance, initial and pre- vocational training, moral and legal education, formation of conditions for children that provide their participation in social life. Shown are the main directions of the pedagogical work for realization of these tasks. Also considered are possibilities of the special school to assist school-leavers in job placement.
