Abstract
The article analyzes the classification of the lessons of speech development with the purpose of effective and optimal organization of them. The conceptual ideas of linguodidacts are determined, which determine the change in the structure and content of the modern lesson of communicative skills development; Questions of classification and systematization of lessons. The methodologically correct organization of teaching of coherent speech and forming communicative competence of students is analyzed. The main approaches to the development of coherent speech of junior pupils in Ukrainian language lessons at the present stage are considered.
