Abstract
The author presents results of methodological analysis of the problem of development of a person's culture in the context of activity theory; Theoretical postulates of psychological studies of activity and personality culture are covered; defined the guiding principles that reveal the structure and features of innovative pedagogical activity; In the framework of the principle of creative self-activity of the subject, the question of the relationship between the personality culture and its activities is highlighted; the culture of personality as a way of innovative pedagogical activity and the result of education are considered; the emphasis is on the need for changes in the content and technologies of professional training of pedagogical workers, postgraduate education of practicing teachers, taking into account the possibilities of developing an appropriate level of innovation culture in them.
