Abstract
The article reveals the essence of the term “young child” in the international educational space and chitnalah research. The development of the young child as psychosocial beings is viewed from the standpoint of a holistic approach, in unity, interrelation and interdependence of the physical, mental and social components. On the basis of analysis and generalization of scientific literature highlighted specific features of development during the first-third years, which make up a portrait of a modern young child.
