Abstract
The article explains the importance of aesthetic culture formation of the future teacher of fine arts from the perspective of aesthetic categories, by awareness of the importance of promoting from the «educated person to cultural person». The author examines the motivations, interests and needs as driving forces of aesthetic culture formation of the future teacher of arts, which provide conditions for psychological and pedagogical mechanisms of its formation. Psychological and pedagogical mechanisms of this culture development as a process of students' personality change through cultural and aesthetic identity, which leads to the cultural and aesthetic self-determination in the artistic and educational activities, are grounded.
