Abstract
An important feature of modern civilization is the constant and steady growth of the amount of information necessary for any human activity. Profile education in high school is appealled to solve this problem. High school pupils can differentially learn subjects and courses that will be needed for their future professional activities and for general education. It is necessary to develop integrated educational subjects that would ensure a coherent perception of the chosen industry content and the rational organization of school hours. One of them is the integrated subject "Physics and Astronomy". The article represents the general principles of integration in education; didactic approaches to the content formation for the integrated subject "Physics and Astronomy" and the conceptual foundations for its implementation in profile-level textbooks for 10th and 11th forms of general education institutions. The concept of the integrated textbook determines the new approaches to structuring the teaching material and methodical apparatus of the textbook.
