Abstract
The paper contains the information about organisational principles of school education reform on the Ukrainian lands during the Russian imperial period in the early 20th century – the time of intensification of school reforms at the state level in the context of social and educational initiatives. The presented bibliographical review of historiography and sources of the research will be useful for researchers of the history of education and pedagogy as well as those who take part in the current reform process.
