Abstract
The article analyzes various scientific interpretations of the terms "social adaptation", "socio-psychological adaptation", "socio-cultural adaptation". On the basis of the generalization of these terms, the notion "adaptation of children of enforced migrants" is defined. Conditions of successful adaptation of migrant children to the new sociocultural environment are considered; objective and subjective factors of adaptation success are marked. It is determined that the process of adaptation is two-sided and depends on both the personality of the child and the host community.
