Abstract

In the article the author reveals the importance of monitoring in the system of general secondary education as a new technology in studying its quality at the present stage, which is characterized by changes related to the reformation, modernization and democratization of Ukrainian society. The author focuses on new approaches to external evaluation and monitoring in accordance with the concept of the "New Ukrainian School", and the most important on the training of teaching staff for their implementation in pedagogical practice; Expresses his / her opinions on changes in the school system on the issues of studying the level of education of students after the completion of primary, basic and high school.
