Abstract
The article deals with the modernization of administrative department of education today. Served new approaches to management under decentralization of power and democratic society. S activity is education authorities during the transformational changes taking place, including in education. The author reveals the mechanisms of public involvement in the management of secondary education in the communities of small towns. Underlined the important role modernize management of the authority. Particular attention was paid to the cooperation of authorities and governments in the context of the development of modern Ukrainian school.
