Abstract
This article describes the main achievements of the domestic aesthetic education of children of early age in terms of preschool education of former USSR. The stages of the formation of scientific thought on aesthetic development in early childhood is examined, the scientific thought is realized in the practice of preschool institutions. Transformations of content, forms and methods of work with children of 1-3 years of life are discovered. Author determined the positive and negative aspects of a unified model of early childhood education, which directly affected the formation - the aesthetic education and the development of childhood.
