Abstract

It was determined that social functioning refers to the execution or the ability to fulfill the key role prescriptions, which are broadcast social groups, culture and subculture to which the individual belongs. In today this concept is often interpreted scientific literature from the point of view of social role theory. It was found that the effectiveness of implementation of the social role of the individual (eg, student) associated with the habits of the use of different resources, both external and internal, to perform social tasks that allow the child to develop self-realization and, finally, to get satisfaction from life. Implementation of the social role of the company is estimated as adequate and effective in relation to certain normative samples. The tasks and roles performed by a child determined social situation and represent a normative behavioral patterns proposed by society. The tasks of any complexity correlates with social action, included in the social context, that becomes part of the action in the situations set of actions to achieve individual goals. Social role (eg students) is a form of submission of regulatory objectives set and the expected actions on a model of the solution and the associated behaviors. The social role traditionally in the sciences of man and society is seen as a dynamic aspect of social status, which in turn is described in terms of constructs and role definitions, role-role behavior and relationships with others. The social situation (eg schooling) determines the nature of social interaction between the individual and consisting of combinations of human actions and environmental conditions. This role defines the context of targeted interactions and functioning of individuals and social systems. The success of social functioning is determined by the balance of exchange, a measure of compliance with the objectives and conditions of work and mutual adaptation between humans and their social environment. Therefore, social functioning – a systematic combination of complementary transactions and exchange with the environment that determined the needs, resources, motivation, expectations and competence of people, on the one hand, and the requirements and opportunities of social and natural environment – on the other. It was found that social functioning can be viewed through the prism of whether it contributes to meeting the urgent needs of children and contributes to whether the psychological well-being of the individual.
