Abstract
The author represents her understanding and feeling of poetry of Taras Shevchenko by means of an essay. The Word of a great poet of Ukraine inspires a teacher and the students with mutual creativity. A problem-solving of literature teaching supposes a renewal of teaching forms and methods based on reflexive and cognitive activity. I, as a teacher, set myself the task of not only teaching the theory and its practical application but also evoking emotions, judg¬ments and thoughts. In a word, a child should think, speak and act. The emotion aroused after the study of the poetry, has to manifest itself, because nowadays an emotional intellect (EQ) plays its main role and outstrips IQ, which was so popular before. The most impor¬tant thing is a contact between a teacher and the students. Not only an intellectual one, a teacher has to inquire about a child's hob¬bies and interests. Subject to the above conditions a teaching process will be efficient both in respect to the knowledge level and a mutual respect level between a teacher and the students.
