Abstract

The historical and pedagogical analysis of the development of the national theory and practice of corrective education of pupils of auxiliary schools is carried out. In the historical pedagogical perspective, the components of the pedagogical process are considered: organization, content, methodology. The main periods and stages of the formation and development of corrective education for children with special needs have been determined, and its main trends have been covered since the second half of the 19th to the mid-20th century. The book is designed for researchers, teachers, students, all who are interested in the history of special pedagogy.
