Abstract
For highlighting the inculcating in Ukraine individualization and differentiation in the secondary school educational process the contribution of the Ukrainian psychologist Yu.Z. Gilbukh (1928-2000), carried out in the last decades of the twentieth century, is represented. His ideas, the results of experimental research in the field of pedagogical psychology, devoted to the development of psychological testing methods for the formation of the classes with different levels of teaching in primary school (in terms of the degree of children’s preparation for learning) The specific features of the intellectual giftedness of children, the essence of the organization principles of teaching in the primary classes of accelerated learning, which he determined, are revealed.
