Abstract
The article reveals the features of the educational process of children with hearing impairment. The author draws attention to the fact that it was only in the conditions of Ukraine's independence that it became possible to study the subject sign language. The state educational policy is shown which in 1991-2010. It was aimed at not ignoring a single link of educational and educational work and was considered an integral ideological component of the culture of the entire multinational Ukrainian people. The content and state of work of primary and secondary education of special schools was aimed at the conditions for the revival, preservation of culture and the native language of children with hearing impairments. Presented is the great importance of the subject "Ukrainian Sign Language" in the teaching and life of children with hearing impairments. The author of the article notes that in carrying out the tasks of comprehensive development of the personality of each pupil, the general education school in the conditions of Ukraine's independence and the teacher tried to give knowledge to children with hearing impaired hearing language not only at the level of the subject, but also in individual lessons.
