Abstract

The paper presents the results of a study, what level of mastering the elements of critical thinking pupils have. New challenges of school require other than reproductive learning, mental activity of students, such as critical thinking. This higher order thinking, which is based on information and conscious perception of intellectual activity, promotes creative personality. School practice requires the development of technology forming critical thinking of pupils in the learning process, using set of different teaching methods that encourage students to creative activity, create conditions for awareness of educational material, summarizing the knowledge gained.
