Abstract
The article is devoted to the peculiarities and priorities of the content, structure and functions of the competence-oriented textbook for high school, which should ensure the organization of active cognitive activity of students, contribute to their professional self-determination. The main parameters of the textbook, which characterize it kompetentse direction and contribute to the implementation of the tasks of special education were systematized in the article. Study material in the textbook should be disclosed in accordance with the modern level of development of science, technology and culture at a level that takes into account the age characteristics of students, in accordance with the curriculum, with an emphasis on practical results and the formation of personal experience. The content of the textbook in the conditions of profile training also must disclose the value of the subject for choice and mastering the future profession. Quality textbook should have a useful selection of educational material, the optimum methods and technologies of its presentation. Organization of different types of learning activities of students should be focused on development of professionally oriented cognitive interests and the formation of universal learning outcomes and educational competencies. Modern textbook based on competence strategy should orient the students on various independent forms of study, to shape the experience of diverse types of activities through the development of systemic, holistic, theoretical and methodological knowledge, scientific, research, creative way of thinking and to get students to active, conscious choice of future profession. Textbook for high school plays an important role in determining the content and process part of technology education and in the realization of their unity. The variability of textbooks in combination with a variety of pedagogical techniques, relevant learning makes it possible to further improve the quality of education.
