Abstract
In the article, the concepts «activity», «value orientations» are revealed. The characteristics and peculiarities of value-oriented activity of teenagers are presented. Particular attention is focused on the socio-psychological analysis of the needs of younger teenagers in value-oriented activity. The sources, driving forces of activity, its forms and levels are analyzed. As a result of philosophic analysis, the essence of social activity is specified, and three main levels of it (micro-, meso-, macrolevels) are distinguished. The subjects of activity and social change are determined to be individuals, small and large social groups. The basic theoretical provisions of the problem under research, the essence and content of its conceptual apparatus are considered. The criteria of activity of the individual are presented. Positive and negative phases of adolescence, its psychological determinant of activity and specific formations are characterized. The analysis of literature on the study has allowed to clarify the concept «value-oriented activity of teenagers» from a position of social pedagogy.
