Abstract

The study of cultural and historical heritage of communities and formation of local lore competence of graduates of secondary schools are closely linked with public discussion about the fate of Ukraine. Regional competence of the person is a multidimensional phenomenon that is characterized by a certain level of proficiency in the research method of studying of environment. The level of the local history competence in high school students depends on the regional awareness and civic engagement of teachers in the study area.
