Abstract
In the article, a model of educating tolerance in elder teenagers of comprehensive school is considered. The author notes that tolerance education of elder teenagers is a topical issue of modern educational theory and educational practice in the development of democratic Ukraine. From the point of view of the researcher, the process of tolerance education is most relevant for adolescence, which provides the foundations for future social behavior of the individual. The author believes that education of tolerance is especially important for elder adolescents (15–18 years) because in this age tolerance can be a conscious civic position, with which the teenager enters adulthood. The author focuses on the concepts of «model», «modeling», «pedagogical conditions», methodological basis of tolerance education. In addition, the researcher defines and characterizes the composition of the model. The proposed model of tolerance education of adolescents is open and, if necessary, can be supplemented with new components. It is regarded as an effective tool for increasing the level of tolerance of all participants of the educational process.
