Abstract
The article deals with theoretical approaches to the use of ICT as a means of educational influence. It presents the results of surveys of school youth, according to which the popularity of social networks is estimated, the nature of pupils’ participation in them is defined, and the structure of schoolchildren’s interests is determined. The author characterizes the state of the perception of social networks in the educational process. The criteria’s of efficiency of social networks are considered, as well as the necessary resources to support them in school. Special attention is paid to educational portals, with which one can search for resources by various criteria. The author concludes that ICTs have a significant impact on the development and education of the person. But now, despite the prospects of qualitative effect of the use of ICT in pedagogical practice, and despite the existence of theoretical developments on this issue, they remain outside of the educational process. Given the limitations of the material and technical resources of schools, the qualitative content of the communication between the pupils and the school should be of top priority.
