Abstract

The purpose of article is justification for the idea that classical science had led to industrial society, influenced the philosophical and social science content knowledge, giving rise of mechanistic and a technocentricity. The study used functional and analytical method. Classical science that originated in Europe, has become a major factor in the emergence of industrial society. The emergence of industrial society caused specifics and characteristics of classical science, especially its system of domination in mathematics and physics, in particular, mechanics, and the crucial role of engineering and physics experiment. The development of social production began to occur based on machine technology. Social Science became almost continuous praise of scientific and technological progress. Technocentricity and mechanistic worldview are common features of classical science and industrial society. The content of social science knowledge identified himself with the dominant ideology of industrial society.
