Abstract

The article deals with the problem of changeability and stability of social identity on the condition of rural youth migration to city. The structural and contextual peculiarities of social identity transformation of rural youth who has migrated to city are analyzed according to the results of the empirical research: increase the expression of religious, sex-role identity, parental awareness of their own roles, as less a manifestation of a professional, national, ethnic and territorial identity. It is shown that the social identity of rural youth, who migrated to city, is more plastic and it is accompanied by active redesign of identification structures.
