Abstract
It is proved that the fundamental achievements and experience of research and development of scientific management schools, the genesis of which occurred during the past centuries, caused system branching of general management through its selection of types (species) – as new areas of scientific knowledge – scientific management, administrative management, theoretical management, operational management, motivational management, system management, situational management, and, indeed, strategic management. It was found out that the scientific and socio-cultural prerequisites for development of strategic management were formed during first six decades of the XX-th century in the system of business education in the U.S. organic relationship with the development of organizational management theoretical principles. In Ukraine, from the second half of 90-th years XX-th century, it is the transformation of ideas, concepts and theories of strategic management in stable economies of industrialized countries in the management of education causing separation of a new scientific knowledge branch – strategic management in education – in a separate facility for basic and applied research and learning facility managers – GEE in the postgraduate educational system. Revealed that the scope of strategies research based on general management and economic theories, theories of competition and of the specific conditions and stages of business development social formation was outlined in the form of concepts, definitions and methodology in early 1969 in the works of A. Chandler, C. Andrews, E. Ansoff, which became the basis for the justification of conceptual approaches to the content of strategic management defining in education. As a result of terminological analysis and retrospective analysis of strategic manage-ment the categorical-conceptual structuring field is outlined through basic and derived ca-tegories that forms the core of the theory of SM in education and subject-based training in content components of GEE heads to implement SM in the modern world outlook context; in the author's interpretation of the essence of the concept of «strategic management of educational organizations». Substantiated the content of GEE heads training to implemen-ting strategic management in the postgraduate education system through the integration of principles of educational management.
