Abstract
Labor training programs for Grade 5 are aimed at the implementation of the goals and objectives of the educational sector "Technologies", compiled in accordance with the Typical curriculum of a special general educational institution for children with mental retardation. They are designed taking into account the cognitive abilities of students with a delay in mental development and contribute to the correction of psychophysical development during the educational process. The program is based on the construction and volume of the training material. Based on local learning conditions and opportunities for further employment, graduates of the school choose the appropriate types of work, specify the content of the basic programs (some topics may not be studied) or, by their example, develop new ones for other types of work. The distribution of teaching time is indicative, the teacher can change the number of hours when studying different topics within the hours of the Typical Curriculum, taking into account the level of abilities of students.
