Abstract

The curriculum is aimed at development of students' understanding of the environmental problems of the urban environment, the ability to consciously navigate its features. Its content acts as a basis for the formation of the humanist worldview, environmental values and a love for their land, acquiring skills and adapt to the characteristics of the city, ecologically expedient conduct it according to requests of sustainable development, promotes a holistic view of urbanized environment and man's place in it understanding the relationship of nature, population, economy of the city. The program content is integrated and environmental information as well as natural items that formed the basis for making environmentally sound decisions and increased environmental behavior of students. The program specifies the purpose of environmental education according to the requirements of sustainable development, which requires the formation of ecological competence.
